If It's Cold, It Better Snow.

Hello. It's been a while, I know. I'm pretty sure this is just a space for me to write and nobody is actually reading it. Either way, I enjoy it.

It's Decemeber. It's cold. It's NOT snowing. I have this thing, if it's going to be cold and blustery I want it to be snowing. Snow is the only thing that matters in the winter. I want to go snowboardin, that's why.

I'm ranting and nothing interesting is coming out of it.

Bye.

Currently listening to House Hunters International. I wish I was someone who had $970,000 laying around for a villa in the South of France.

I'm bore therefore this post is boring. Sorry.

Sooooooooo summer is over. Sadness, sadness, sadness. Why is it that I never, EVER get used to summer ending? That'll remain unanswered forever.

Anyway, in case anyone out there in internet space who is even bothering to read this blog is wondering, I didn't finish my summer bucket list. Oh well. I'm not too concerned about it. Summer always returns, right? There's always next year :)

I don't have too much to report on, there's nothing new happening. I'm trying to write more, kind of failing but eh, oh welll.

slater.

Summer Bucket List cont.

Before I forget! I've completed two things on my list! HOORAY! Bonnaroo (amazing, hot, sweaty, amazing) and the Belmar 5 Mile (same). I'm planning a trip to Block Island in August. It's my heaven on earth. It's what keeps me sane. MMMMM Fresh Water Pond is my religion. MMMM.

more to the list:
Parker House 5k (more races)
Hiking (did a little of the appaliachian trail earlier this summer)
Sublime & more shows
Barefoot dance party on the beach

thats all for now. let's see how far i get on this list.

How's Your Training Regime? Nonexistent.

I think I want to run more races.

I ran the Belmar 5 Mile run last Saturday (July 10th) with my friend Jamie. We stuck together the entire time and I'm pretty sure she wanted to kill me because I had to stop and ask some random person to use their bathroom. They let me. Anyway, we did it in an hour, which I think is pretty awesome because we didn't train (though we ate carbs the night before...). Anyway, I really loved the way I felt afterwards. I guess it was all the endorphins or the fact that I got to stand underneath a stream of water shooting out of a fire truck in the middle of Ocean Ave. Either way, I felt really good about myself and accomplished for the first time in a long time. SO, I have decided to run the Parker House 5k next Saturday (what sold me was that I get an hour of FREE BEER after). Am I chasing a high? Maybe. Don't get me wrong, I'm training for a marathon or anything that amazing. I don't even really run on my free time either. But, I like these little races because I can feel alive after. I'm a sweaty miserable mess while I'm running, but, once I sprint past that finish line and get my heart to slow down I feel AMAZING. There's really no other way to put it.

Ok, so on another subject, I need to figure out what to do with my life. I'm very aware that I can't nanny for the rest of my life. I'll be taking suggestions here. Thanks.

R.I.P. White Chocolate

The census commercials remind me of McDonald commercials.

White Chocolate, my beloved white Lincoln Continental, is dead. She can no longer be my beautiful dream boat that shuffles me and 2 children all around this wonderful earth. Though I am saddened by this event, I must persevere. Currently, I am in the market for a new car (and by "new" I mean used). I post this in the hopes that maybe anyone out there in the internet world has a decent car they want to sell me (preferably under $6,000). Please comment back if you have a car or know someone with a car they want to sell me. Thanks.

"Nowhere you can be that isn't where you're meant to be" -The Beatles

My 23rd birthday is less than a week away and I can't ehlp but think how much I HAVEN'T accomplished compared to other 23 year olds. First, there are those who are married. Personally, I can't see myself getting married ANY TIME soon but, there are people my age happily married and on their way to having kids. Due to my job currently I don't want kids until I'm way, way older. Nannying is the best form of birth control, try it if you don't believe me. Second, there are those who are in Grad School or with "real" jobs or who have traveled. I have none of those things. Well, I've been trying to "travel" more and so far I've done California and Florida (I don't count Vermont because I've been there prior to this year). I'm hoping as the year progresses I can work on #2, the traveling & "real" job thing (I have no desire to go back to school). I'm trying to open myself up to more and more oppurtunities outside of Belmar and since I have a steady paycheck it's working out pretty well.

*Also in the works is a Summer Bucket List. I'll keep you posted on what I have on the list as it grows (by "you" I mean anyone who happens to read this though I know there aren't many or any at all). This list should help me feel a better about my life post college pre career. We'll see.

"We don't need no weather man to tell us which way the wind blows" - Bob Dylan

I hate the rain. I especially hate it when it rains while there are massive piles of snow on the ground. It's wet, gross and messy. Not to mention slippery.

The only time rain is good is on a day when I have nothing to do and I can stay inside, order food, wear sweatpants and watch movies (or ANTM marathon). That's it.

I love snow, however. I find nothing wrong with those delighful, little snow flakes as they accumulate all over the streets and sidewalks of my perfect town. I love to be inside and outside when it snows. LOVE LOVE LOVE SNOW. Just to make it perfectly clear.
